Hidden Treasures

I was searching for our juice dispenser, which I had kept in storage, and as you can imagine, there were loads of boxes to open before getting to the box containing the dispenser.  But while searching through the boxes, I came across a condiment bottle I had totally forgotten I had tucked away in one of the boxes, which I needed some prior months. While laughing at the whole situation, I was reminded it’s the same way we may have hidden treasures that we need to dig out.

What are those hidden treasures you may have but are unaware of? Is it a business idea? A solution to a problem? A talent, gift or skill? Whatever it is, God is so willing to help us dig it out for it to become a treasured possession in His hands.  That’s why He said in Isaiah 45:3 that“I will give you hidden treasures, riches stashed away in secret places, so you may recognize that I am the LORD, the one who calls you by name, the God of Israel.” (NET Bible).

But to dig such treasures out, we need to bring in the expert. Great miners know that it’s important to have adequate knowledge of what the treasure looks like in its raw state, the value of such treasure, how to get it refined, in order for its value to be appreciated and interested parties that could make use of such treasure. We are loaded with so much hidden treasures and we need the help of the Holyspirit to help us dig out such treasures because He has the best knowledge of what treasures have been deposited inside each and every one of us.

In the beginning, before the creation of man, God said in Genesis 1:26 (AMP), “Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” The manufacturer of a thing is the one that usually has the best knowledge of that product. He also knows the best use of the product, how valuable such a product is, and people/avenues that such product would be of interest to them because of the value it carries.  The Holyspirit knows all these and He is so willing to help us dig it all out. That is why in Jeremiah 33:3 (AMP), we read that,  “Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish”.

For me, it took a totally unrelated event for me to find this hidden condiment bottle, which I needed some months back and sometimes, God will need to allow some of us go through some situations in order for us to completely surrender to Him and allow Him to dig out and utilize those hidden talents or potentials we have allowed to lie dormant for so long.

But without Jesus as your Lord and Personal savior, we don’t have access to the Holyspirit, our present help, who can guide us in discovering those hidden treasures. But the great news is that He is knocking on the door of your heart, waiting for you to open up. He is willing to come in, if you will accept Him as your Lord and Savior. If you will like to do so, please say this prayer:

“Lord Jesus Christ, I believe you are the Son of God and I believe You died for me on the cross of Calvary. I know I am a sinner and today, I come to You to forgive me of all my sins and to make me a brand new creation. I accept You as my personal Lord and Saviour. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and making me born again, in Jesus name, Amen”.

Congratulations!!!! You are now a born-again Christian (It simply means a new born baby in Christ and there is loads of celebration in heaven because of YOU! J)
